hello I have a v3 on my 2008 mustang 4.0lv6. I have a 2.5" pulley on it that I got from 928 motorsports. I read the specs on the v3 and it says it can spin 52000 rpm (mine spins 51,840)and provide enough air for 775hp and 22psi. my question is even with a smaller pulley than is available from vortech I can only seem to see 16 psi on my gauge at max. my engine is limited too 6150rpm and power falls off at 5850 where it made 415.6 rwhp and 390rwtq. how can it make the said 22psi if spinning it that fast puts it over the 52000 rpm limit. I am thinking I should be seeing more boost but the number on the gauge is no different really than it was with the 2.67 or 2.62 pulley.so how is it possible that it make 22 psi when I cant seem to get it over 16 max.when I did the dyno pulls and tune to get the numbers the motor was pretty much stock. now it has been ported and polished with custom oversize titanium valves and a custom intake manifold and custom 2" stainless headers all of which I made myself. would love to see 18 psi if possible. and put the car into mid 11's. I know the gauge basicly shows what the engine DIDNT USE was wondering if someone could explain that a bit better. I would love to keep my vortech as I really like it but I want to run 11's so may have to go turbo if I cant get some better numbers out of it. my buddy bob has a turbo on his 4.0l v6 and makes 535rwhp and 602 rwtq. his motor is bone stock.
