Eaton hybrid help
Hi all, I have a 3rd gen m45 from a merc custom fitted to my car, its too small but I spent ages making it fit and use the front casing bolts on a laser cut mount to hold it in place, I wanna keep the snout from the m45 so the snout and pulley can be used, but wanna use the rotors and rear casing from the m62 that has the magnetic clutch, also a 3rd gen merc item.
Both have the same dia rotors and share the same bolt pattern up front, it should be easy to bolt on but afaia the m62 doesnt have the 3 prong drive and coupler so, to make this work i need to remove the drive gears from the m45 and have them transfered onto the m62 rotors then its a hybrid m45 snout and gears with an m62 casing and rotors!! phew.... anyone able to gimme some pointers as to the possibility of making this work!?
Taking off drive gears and putting them back on and timing in is way outta my capability so any suggestions to who could do this would be great.
I have both chargers to dedicate to the cause..
Thanks in advance!
