Just installed D1SC
I have a stock GM PP HO 454 (8.75to1)with a Retrotek Speed Boss EFI. I just installed a D1SC. We ran it on the Dyno and I had a intake leak. Fixed that with new gaskets. Was running well up and down. No open throttle yet. Had about 12-14 degrees initial timing. MSD ignition with boost compensate. Ran it up to 5100 RPM, about 11.77 A/F ratio, 32 degrees timing, 407HP and 397 Torque, developed 10.5 psi boost, I do not have a valve installed which I plan to add, nor do I have a intercooler. Then it blew the head gaskets. Shut it down. Pulled the heads, everything looks OK. Installing new Felpro MLS head gaskets. Going to add in the MSD retard about 1.5 to 2 so it should reduce the timing by 10-15 degrees at WOT. Remember I am at 1 mile high. We need a little more timing than the low landers. Any other thoughts? Thanks

Update to the last entry. initial is about 15 degrees. Retard is at 1.5 which makes it about 22 total. Works well. Will fine tune it later. Runs real nice, tons of power.

Any updates? How is it running now? Sounds like the timing did the trick.
